keep your friends close but your enemies closer

I saw a youtube vid posted with a lady giving a "Sarah Palin Hair' tutorial and I noticed the most hilarious far left comment under it:

"This is kinda like someone showing how to grow a Adoph Hitler moustache in 1934. You'll live to regret her hair style."

Yeah right... This lady is teaching girls to be Hitler's

Such comments are little more than unthinking stupid attempts to create controversy.  I looked at both Utube videos and such a comparison just doesn't fit with any content in either the hair style video or the hockey mom's video.  Oh well.  Stupid is as stupid does.

Look, stupid is stupid BDBF. She's not my cuppa tea, but this is a big country. I suppose what bothers me most is that she's not working with the Special Prosecuter to take care of those ethics charges. I don't think she'd make a great VP, but I could be wrong. Portraying her as the Commander-inChief of the Alaska National Guard was a mistake, as was the lie about giving orders. She hasn't. Also, seeing two countries and flying low over 22 more doesn't constitute Foreign Policy Experience which she has none of. All the other lies represent this curious ability the Republicans have of constructing alternate realities and then living in them.

I could care less about her hair or glasses.

Oh weeel Dr J.  My stupid is as stupid does comment was directed at the "Hitler" comment.  Although I didn't say anything I also don't see how such stupid comment should be construed as a "far left comment".  Does the OP want others to believe Liberals make such comments?  I thought both videos said absolutely nothing of any political importance other than some people like Palin and others don't.

I see Palin as VP choice an attempt to appease conservatives and appeal to female independent voters.  I want some real change in Washington.  The former Fed Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan had warned of mortgage market practices a few years ago and now look at all the problems.  Allowing people to pocket commissions and fees from transactions based on other people's money is always a recipe for disaster.

The stock market crash of 1929 came about from highly leverages stock market holdings that depended on the value of stocks as a security on the debt.  Housing prices in many areas in the US attained unrealistic and unsustainable levels from unsound mortgage market practices and from the fact that mortgages are repackaged and sold.  That is originating banks could sell these mortgages and transfer the risk of their poor loans on third parties.

Look at the financial problems that have resulted from not investigating these problems when Greenspan first mentioned them at the beginning of the Bush legacy.  He started with a budget that had a real surplus.  Now the government is pouring billions into the finance sector to try and restore confidence in the markets because they have to.  And, the deficit is accelerating to reach the trillion dollar per year level.

Why is it that banks have gotten away with imposing huge fees on consumers and jacking up interest rates on credit cards the moment they miss a single payment.  No regulation.  And, the public refusing to do what they need to to get rid of their credit cards.  The same was true in the housing market.  Consumers just aren't smart enough to understand all the implications of the mortagages that were being offered and what would happen when they can't make what was once a $1,500 and now is a $4,000 per month house payment.  This is without question the worst economy in my entire lifetime.

And, let's not forget all the GD advertisting the automakers filled the TVs with to buy that V8 sports car, SUVs and Trucks.  Nevermind the oil crisis that was already evident.  The entire world was pumpimg at near full capacity in 2001.  It wasn't sustainable.  Lack of leadership, lack of real government policy and relentless squabbling over stupid issues is the reason for this horrible situation.

Gee wiz Gay marriage and abortion are far more important than jobs, financial stability, access to healthcare and education.  Do you really think the average American has a snowball's chance in hell of having a retirement?  Only if you work for the government are such things guaranteed.  The average taxpayer and worker will get nothing.

It is not surprising. Their hatred is just out of control.

Don't take any Youtube comments seriously...ever.  It's not a place for discussion, just a place where assholes run their mouths with poor grammar and horrible spelling.

Hands down.....Sarah Palin is the absolute worst thing to happen to this country since Bush!

BDBF: I agreed with you. I don't hate anyone nor am I a far leftist. I believe that there's room for everyone's belief but not for hatred like "H**ler" comments.

on Sep 18, 2008

I thought that was clear. BDBF, I AGREE with you, and don't think your comment is "stupid" Quite the opposite!

Well that is a relief!  If she gets elected, my prediction will come to pass - all the loons will forget about Bush!

ha!  That'll be the day!  They'll say it's Bush's fault she was elected in the first place.

Well Daiwa.  I'm not sure why this is a news story or why Fox is covering it other than to take something that one individual has said and try to overshadow they real problems that the US has to start facing.

I'm 54 years old and I do not believe that, through any effort that I have possible to me, will I be able to have a retirement.  I graduated with highest honors as school valedictorian from college. I have a masters degree from a top school and none of it makes the least bit of difference.  The government policies of the US are the problem.

Pensions have been wiped out.  Inflation is erroding purchasing power while the stock market's and debt market's collective collapse has wiped out savings for many.  And, still we should be more concerned with somebody's stupid comments regarding a political candidate and a newsmedia's attempt to make hay out of it then our own real hardship.  I don't trust anything to do with Fox news.  People will not be so easily influenced by such organizations as Fox news when they no longer have adequate employment, access to healthcare, the capacity to save for their retirement and have it still when they retire and maintain a home.

I'm going to vote based on my realities not the stupid denseless nonsense that the news media attempts to exploit.
