keep your friends close but your enemies closer

Lately on the internet, I read a lot of people posting political thoughts as if they think they have all the answers to some of the most complex issues. I have opinions too, but I never claim that I'm 100% correct. I know what I read and I try to come to a reasonable conclusion. Many people have about as much expertise in political sciences as my garbageman, only difference? My garbageman might have opinions, but he doesn't consider himself an expert in matters of nuclear proliferation or Russian expansionism.

It seems like certain people are conditioned like Pavlov's dog to rush out and vote for any politician regardless of how corrupt and bankrupt.....

We'll see how that works out for John Kerry and Charley Rangle, but I fear you're correct. People love the criminal, if it is "their" criminal.

Hey, people voted for an administration with Cheney and Rumsfeld in it. That is quite corrupt in my little book.

Proof that it all comes down to a giant douche and a turd sandwich, eh? Do you think only the dems votes like automatons?

Yeah, but most people weren't thrilled about Bush. He was basically better than Gore or Kerry. Democrats rush out with glee to vote for their criminals, voters in the Bush election cycles sort of sucked it up as a lesser of 2 evils

Democrats rush out with glee to vote for their criminals

1- "Criminal"?

2- No. They rushed out with glee to vote AGAINST Bush. They didn't care how much they disliked Kerry, they just wanted Bush out.

Get your fact straighted up, man. When people on your side vote stupidly, it's against their own conscience, but necessary. When people on the other side vote stupidly, it's because they want the downfall of america. Talk of double standard.

I wasn't aware Cheney and Rumsfield didn't pay taxes or attempted to shirk their tax responsibilities, while advocating the public should pay their "fair" share? I'd be interested to see the source you have for this pairs criminal activities, and how they are eluding justice with democrats in complete control,  do share.

I know, I know tax cheating is so rampant in this administration it's hardly news. Maybe that's why they want more money from taxpayers, to subsidies their non-payment.

While I'm not in any way, shape or form an expert in politics, I do like to give my 2 cents worth in the political realm.

...and that's all one can really do. It just amazes me how some can try to smear another's opinion, without offering something other than their talking points, and making disparaging remarks that add nothing to boot.

People discuss political topics using all kinds of different methods, but making disparaging remarks that add nothing to the discussion is really frustrating.  This is a sure sign of losing the argument.

But I think what bothers me most is when people attack the person making the argument instead of the argument itself.

I didn't say any of this... you did. Now look 'man' Republicans seem to have some corruption problems, but when we get a Duke Cunningham he is usually run out on a rail faster than anyone knew what happened. On the DEmocrat side we have Nancy pelosi who promised to 'Drain the swamp" and run 'the most honest Government ever" standing side by side with 3 of tyhe biggest criminals in Washington....  Rangel, Dodd and Frank.  The funniest part is how Obabm carried on most Bush economic policies, going as far as to retain Cranky Ben printing press Bernake and Turbo Taxation Timothy Geithner.  I can't want to see how the Demowits will spin extending the Bush 'evil tax cut for the rich'. If the let it expire it will cause our economy to slip further into recession. Seems like Gitmo, wiretaps, drone strikes, war in Iraq and Af/Pak are all acceptable as well. Just total hypocrisy and rampant corruption

One thing I find astonishing is the human reluctance to admit error or an incorrect course of action. The more intelligent the individual; the worse the condition.

I disagree with this statement.  If you qualified it as "the more intelligent the individual thinks they are......" then I would agree.

Case in point.  I have been wrong on several occasions, and admitted it.  I hate the taste of crow, but I actually apologized to the queen bee once as well.  BUT - he has never admitted he was wrong even when documented to be so.

I do not think I am god's answer to intelligence, albeit I am not stupid.  The queen bee thinks he is, so he will never admit he is wrong (that plus being a liberal which means they are allergic to human foibles and will never admit when they are wrong).

And what were there crimes?  Sorry, you do not LIKE them, but as we clearly see (since the Obama/Holder JD dropped all suits), they did nothing criminal or wrong.  They just did things you did not like.
