keep your friends close but your enemies closer

So now, "human rights legend" John Lewis claims that Donald Trump is illegitimate. Thats odd, it seemed to me like Trump won an electoral landslide. Its also worth noting that the partisan Democrats who are in total control of our intelligence agencies reported that there was no evidence of vote tampering by Russia or anyone else. What a crybaby sore loser John Lewis... cry me a river. I still remember the last public tantrum Lewis pitched when he claimed that a teapartier spit on him and called him the N-word in front of hundreds of people. Brietbart immediately offered a huge reward for any evidence of the incident, but none was ever found. Not one of the hundreds of cameras, phones, or witnesses saw any racial attacks. Whatever John Lewis once did, he is now a racial demagogue and a Democrat party hack. Its also important to remember that when Donald Trump starts doing away with as much of Obama's pen and a phone style of governance that is better suited for a balcony rather than an executive office, that Obama's declarations of "I won and you lost," and "elections have consequences," leaves little sympathy for those like John Lewis who are now shocked, shocked that people are gambling in Casablanca.

Surely you've not forgotten 'Reset Button'?

If given a choice between NSA & FSB/KGB, I'll take neither, thank you.  A 'Russia friendly administration' doesn't concern me any more than it did in 2009, and I seriously doubt Trump would have sold a quarter of our uranium production to Russia.  Or given the green light and boatloads of cash to Iran.

I could care less about Trump's tax returns.  Mine are (allegedly) private.  So should his be.  If the IRS is doing the job it's supposed to be doing, as opposed to political persecution campaigns, there's nothing illegal there.  I've never been in favor of forcing politicians to make their tax returns public - sets a bad precedent and conditions people to believe we ought to have access to them if they interest us.  No thanks, none of our business.  If they choose to publish them that's fine & dandy but choosing not to publish them is not in any way disqualifying in my book.

Trump supporters will blame Obama and Clinton if the Republican dismantling of the ACA blows up. Blind faith is not a virtue....

The ACA was the equivalent of a suicide bomber and our health care system its intended victim.  Repairing the damage done by the ACA, designed like the rat tunnels in Vietnam with many booby traps to thwart that process, will not be simple or easy.  But it won't 'blow up'.

So everything's OK with GWB, now?  No longer cool to blame predecessors for current problems?  Good.  I consider that progress.

I think arguing over the size of the crowd is dumb.

Can I ask something about the NYT reference?  The NYT has admitted they were biased and not great at reporting on politics, so why are people still going to that trough?  It's like they have admitted to poisoning the water and yet people still go there to drink and swear it's pure.  I find that very confusing.

Well put.  Calculated, devious...  and dumb.

I agree. That's why Trump should have just let it go..

When did I ever blame GWB for anything on this forum?? Please provide a link to the statement(s) you are claiming I made.

The Republicans have been promising to repeal and replace it for eight years. That should be plenty of time to figure out how to dismantle it without causing collateral damage.

The ACA has a number of issues that need to be addressed. No one is arguing that it is perfect. But it is providing coverage for a lot of people who would otherwise not be able to get insurance. Pulling out the rug from under them would cause a lot of pain. You may not care, but I do. That is a difference in our world views that we will not be able to reconcile.

Fake.  Until an actual person claims it publicly, it'll remain fake.

And I was making a generalization about the 'blaming GWB' game, Borg, not ascribing anything specific to you.

Not fake: Trump failed to turn and wave as he boarded AF1 for the first time.

I shudder in fear...

He was too busy making sure he had shares in the 'fencing' contractor...

Personally I don't really care either way...Americans made their own bed...

The behavior of the press since November 8, especially since January 20, has been all Python all the time.

LOCK HER UP!!

The hypocrisy is strong with this one....

http://www.newsweek.com/trump-emails-rnc-reince-priebus-white-house-server-548191

"But after then-candidate Donald Trump and the Republicans repeatedly called for “locking up” Hillary Clinton for handling government work with a private server while secretary of state, the new White House staff risks repeating the same mistake that dogged the Democrat’s presidential campaign. They also face a security challenge: The RNC email system, according to U.S. intelligence, was hacked during the 2016 race. “They better be careful after making such a huge ruckus over the private email over at the State Department,” says former Bush administration lawyer Richard Painter."
