keep your friends close but your enemies closer
Published on October 9, 2008 By Anthony R In Internet

Just recently, San Cho posted this Photoshop picture of Sarah Palin in a KKK uniform in the comment section of my blog.

-

I personally condemn the picture and I can't find any humor in it.  My question is simple. Does anyone else condemn this?

And who supports it? I have joked around with photoshop pictures before, but I have never put anyone in a Hitler or KKK uniform because that goes beyond being a joke and crosses over into the realms of full blown hate speech.

Just call me by my slave name Toby

Congratulations. You have ancestors that were victims of slavery.

So do I.

Neither of us have done anything to deserve those ancestors. Please don't speak to anyone as if ancestry was relevant!

Your break will come at the same time OURS does, when Brad gets enough complaints about the forced crossposting between sites to seperate these disparate communties like they used to be. Trust me, those of us who enjoy discussing politics are as sick of being force-fed your skinning crap as you are of being involuntarily exposed to our political debates.

Please don't swim in our toilet. We do not piss in your swimming pool...

I loathe the forced crossposting mainly because I'm not always 'nice' (as you've seen) and I find you artsy-fartsy types far too delicate and emotionally retarded to play with.

in other words your saying that you are a selfish asshole that has to be a dick to us skinners because we don't care for the topics that cross here? get off you damn soap-box.

Prolly not....so never mind.

thats just the problem with you fucking trolls. You have to continue your bullshit mouth time after time after time.

Yeah, Brad needs to get JU off of WC, on that I think we ALL agree. However that does NOT give you a gold card to bash the mentality of people that like to customize their PC's as opposed to waging a word war for fun now does it.

Nothing changes here. Same few names, same abusive attitude.

Little whip is harsh but she is right.  You are in their house now. If you don't like it, it's just a click to get out. Until Brad seperates the 2 sites this will always be an issue. I can understand them being sick of seeing skinning related stuff on their blogsite as is we get sick of listening to people ranting about absolutely nothing that matters.

Besides, WC is a little too goody goody. All the drama has been used and redone and so on. At least JU'ers offer fresh Drama.

It is the politically correct against the politically incorrect.

Our own little Peyton Place.

 Exactly so!

It is the politically correct against the politically incorrect.

I find the politically incorrect more comfortable!

The pictures should be condemned.  Not on the basis of "Hate Speech" (which is really a  term to justify thought police) but on the basis to demean and smear another person's character.  And to associate them with persons and/or groups who have been condemed in the past/present for their actions aganist the rest of humanity.

The costumes and/or scenes within either picture are not meant as "jokes".  How an individual can attempt to argue otherwise is beyond me.  As far as I'm concerned they're outright attacks who have joinged with others to assualt Palin in one way or another for either being a mother, a mother of five, a mother of a child with Down's Syndrome (some media members even made attacks against the child himself), pro-gun responsibility, pro-life, Christian, and a social conservative.

The major news media outlets with their love affair with Sen. Barack Obama and his socialist  history & sordid voting record does just fine without anyone else joining in on the smear campaigns focused on Gov. Sarah Palin.  All this does is make light of the American responsibility to vote within an informed manner.

Please keep a civil tone when addressing other users.  This forum is open to all, and since it is the Internet category, it is not limited to customization topic strictly.  It is not up to individual users to police these forums or tell other users whether or not they should post or whether or not they belong.  That is a call left to Stardock site administrators.  If you have a problem with a post or a comment, use the Report feature and we will see it and address it if we see fit.

If a thread bothers you, you are encouraged to close the browser and not read it.  We don't want to get into the habit of censoring content on these forums to avoid anyone being offended.

to little-whip for fending off the ankle-biters and thought police

My 2 cents?

There's a growing community of users of "Phoney Umbrage", and folks just looking for a reason to be "offended". Most of it based on one "entitlement" or another. The main reason for it though is profit of one kind or another.

Who cares about silly Photoshopped crap on the net? Laugh at it or shake your head....but move on. No one's gonna apologize or worry about your hurt feelings. The world just doesn't spin that way anymore (if it ever did).

To conduct a discourse one has to respect the person on the other end. And, respect has to be earned by the tone of the responses: This is civility. It is the sine qua non.

Civility is not "Political Correctness" nor is it the "Thought Police". It has to do with manners.

Well, that's my 2 cents.

I think she looks good in anything. But I take it for a joke and hope thats the way it was intended.

I dont think it was meant that way, but then the perfect revenge is to laugh at it that way.

what far left stuff? You mean playing the same game as played on Obama ( the Muslim/Terrorist stuff? ) out on the Intertubes and on Fox?

Your so right! I mean.. it's not like he won't have top security clearance if he becomes President because of the people he associates himself with, right?. Oh wait... looks like he wont be getting anything of the kind! http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2104594/posts Try to ignore the comments, but read the other stuff. Like this for example:

Obama might find problems getting a top secret security clearance for the following reasons:

If Obama couldn't qualify for a Top Secret Security Clearance, is it wise for him to be President?
