keep your friends close but your enemies closer

Its a shame the Democrats have chosen to exploit the Newton, Connecticut shooting in a naked attempt to advance a totalitarian vision they've had on their plates for quite some time... to strip the people of their guns and constitutional rights.

In all honesty, there are no new laws that would have prevented young Mr. Lanza, who was a determined and psychotic criminal from slaying his mother, or anyone else who would have gotten in his way to commit his acts, but this reality doesn't deter Obama from telling us that we have "no conscience" as he stands on the tiny caskets as a soapbox to push his extreme ideology completely antithetical to the American way of life. He also is "skeptical" of armed guards in school while his kids along with Steven Spielberg's have a veritable army protecting their school.

Some point to Hitler and Stalin in regard to Obama's recent drumbeats, but a more recent event is worthy of mention... Bosnia, Srebrenica 1995. The UN set up an alleged "safe Zone" in 1993 and stripped all the Bosnian men of their guns and ability to defend themselves. They were allegedly under the protection of UN guns and need not worry about self defense right? Wrong, very wrong. Milosevic rolled his troops in there and ran roughshod over the UN forces who basically handed the thousands they disarmed over for the worst slaughter since WWII. They were sitting ducks. The Dutch even supplied gasoline to Milosevic's forces so they could bulldoze the bodies into a mass grave. Something to think about the next time a government guarantees your safety.

Why can't strict gun laws work to decrease gun violence in America, given that it's worked in Britain and other European countries?  What's different here?  I understand the 2nd Amendment, but disregard it for the moment - a law being in place is not a reason to not look at contrary laws as a solution.

I know I'm talking to the wind here, but I've got to say, it's not gun control we need, but rather self control.

Wasn't it James Madison, the fourth president, who said,

We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.

What are our standards for self control with which this country of ours started out?  We can't even agree what our Constitutional rights are.

This young Lanza kid was indeed bent on committing evil...but long ago a majority in the Supreme Court of our land decided to kick God and prayer and His standards out of all public schools. ...so those kids couldn't pray together to Our Father in Heaven to "deliver them from evil".

We must get used to the idea that this nation like many fallen empires before us whose government authorities refused to live and guide our nation by God's absolute standards, with Christ as sovereign King, is collapsing before our very eyes.

Eventually, we will have no guns as State Atheism will be in charge.

We know in no uncertain terms where this administration stands...it is bringing down this America we once knew.

Remember that when during his campaign for re-election that Obama in a rally told supporters to vote "for revenge"?

It was reported that Valerie Jarrett, Obama's right hand pal, said, "After we win this election, it's our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don't forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded; the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won't be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go."

According to Fox News, it seems Obama is going to use a group of young children as his backdrop when he gives his plans for gun control tomorrow.

Bosnia was but the latest.  But history is full of examples.  Anders Breivik lived in a country that totally banned guns - that is why he could kill over 70 before being stopped.  He was not actually stopped - he ran out of victims.

Its terrible when kids die in gun violence, but its also disgusting when they are exploited and used as political props to advance a political agenda. Never let an awesome crisis go to waste, to quote Rham Emmanuel.

Thats an excellent point. And not only are the gun laws there insane, you can't imagine the luxury of the dorms  in the so-called prisoners of Norway. I first learned of it in the 90's when a guy from a band called Burzum killed the guy from another band called Mayhem, Euronymous. He stabbed the guy to death and now lives in the lap of luxury in a dorm where he has a full music studio where he creates and releases recordings. He even gets to wear all his own street clothes to maintain his spirit and individual identity. People visit and interview him and he looks happier than some free people. Liberalism goes way too far in places like Norway and Sweden and it removes the possibility of justice ever being done.
