keep your friends close but your enemies closer

What an election season. Democrats are hardly worth the time to write about anymore, but Republicans are proving to be even worse. They have now been exposed as career politicians with absolutely no loyalty to party, only to interests, and money. Need evidence? Look no further than "war hero" John McCain. Most people that I know were so sickened by the idea of him becoming the party nominee in 2008, that they refused to vote for him, but I, as a loyal Republican, held my nose and did the deed. How am I repaid by McCain? with a news conference to announce his intention to not support the Republican nominee, Donald Trump for President. In 2008, McCain embarrassed the Republican party severely by refusing to condemn the use of the racial slur, "gook," but now he is appalled, so appalled by the vulgarity of Donald Trump. Give me a break. Senator McCain has made his intentions perfectly clear as other Republicans have. He is more comfortable with Hillary because she has promised to keep feathering his nest as he has all these years. Same goes for Paul Ryan and all the other so called conservatives who were just punching bags for Obama the last 8 years. And we wondered why. Its because they all have the same interests. So that's it. 2016 was the year that Toto pulled the curtain. Its rigged, and ordinary people are fools to fight with one another believing otherwise to the delight of those who pull the puppet strings.

I actually like our compulsory voting requirement....you're fined if you fail to cast a vote.

The 'right' to vote is enforced.

That'd be a start.  And what is it that in 7 or so states it's actually legal to vote more than once?  How the hell does that work?

Or rather...how the hell isn't that a recipe for abuse?

Hillary Clinton doesn't really care in the slightest
about your problems, she has to many of her own problems.
Do you want to tarnish US history electing Hillary Clinton
as the first woman president?
You would be better off with Elizabeth Warren, at least she's real.

Wasn't it trump who said he could shoot someone in New York City and not lose any votes.
Yes, it's kind of a NY attitude thing which is something he better hold off on should he be elected. Having been born and raised in NY, its a sarcasm that I understand, but people in other parts of the country may not Its pretty simple for me... Trump Vs. Hillary Clinton. Of the 2, I find Trump far more in line with my beliefs and I don't fi9nd him completely revolting and unfit as I do Clinton. So its a no brainer for me when presented with the choice. I could borrow the brain of a mentally handicapped man and still arrive at the same decision   So we either get Clinton, who will be mired in scandal and impeached with no hope of any future, or we can have the possible hope for a decent Government by giving Trump a chance. I know after a few weeks you will come around and start lovin the guy, Jafo

His documented comments regarding women place him about just one level above pedophile in the evolutionary scale of arseholes....so, no, I won't be coming around to "lovin the guy" anytime soon....

Lets say that you don't like either one of the candidates.
Then you could default to policies.
One of those would be safety of US inner government data,
which Hillary has proven she can't keep safe.
This could pose a threat to the safety of anyone in the world
and is one down side of the new digital universe.

Here is an experiment you could try.
Go to huffingtonpost.com, cbsnews.com, dailyrotation.com, news.google.com, foxnews.com,
drudgereport.com, infowars.com, realclearpolitics.com and any where else you get news.
Read all the head lines and then any stories that catch your eye.
Now sleep on it and wake up tomorrow in reality.

I just looked at the map at RCP and it really tells a story. I've never seen so many blank states that are being declared tossups. So they are covered in the event of a landslide on either side. If that happened I would bank on Trump doing it, but if you listen to media outlets, including FOX, we may as well all just stay home and let Hillary crown herself. Its really an extreme attempt to suppress voters imo.

Best thing is....one way or another it's all over in a day or two....and we can get back to far more important things....like beating South Africa in the cricket......

We wish.  This won't be over for a long, long time.  No matter who 'wins'.

You guys probably secretly wear Trump wigs when no one is looking. jk

Trump wears a trump wig....

Well, looks like Trump will sweep the night and take the office. In the end, I think Clinton's attempt to have others do her campaigning for her as she sat and napped, combined with her lack of a cohesive reason for wanting to become President other than to prevent Donald Trump from becoming one, sunk any chance she might have had despite having a billion dollars to spend and an entire corrupt media in her pocket.

Where are we going, and why are we in this hand-basket? ....
