keep your friends close but your enemies closer
Published on October 9, 2008 By Anthony R In Internet

Just recently, San Cho posted this Photoshop picture of Sarah Palin in a KKK uniform in the comment section of my blog.

-

I personally condemn the picture and I can't find any humor in it.  My question is simple. Does anyone else condemn this?

And who supports it? I have joked around with photoshop pictures before, but I have never put anyone in a Hitler or KKK uniform because that goes beyond being a joke and crosses over into the realms of full blown hate speech.

STARKERS POSTS #151

Oh, and how about the foreign relations mess she created with Venezuala's Chavez... wasn't very diplomatic or smart to go calling him a dictator publicly, now was it! Yup, Palin would have enemies crawling out of the woodwork if The US voting public put her in the office she seeks... and would destroy, along with any remaing credibility the US has left.

The point was not pointed at Chavez or his policies... it was pointed at Palin's foreign relations cock-up... for publicly antagonising Chavez with comments that he is a dictator. Whether it is true or not is irrelevant, Palin should not have gone public with her derogatory opinion about a 'World leader', it was inflammatory and did nothing to aid/smooth US - Venezualan relations.

STARKERS,

First,  is it true or not? Or do you just put anything up here on this board hoping it sticks?

Second, let's go with it anyway since you brought it up and acknowledge that Palin has a derogarty opinion of Chavez....big woop-de-do. Anyone in their right mind would agree....Unlike some Democrats, like Bill Delahunt of Massachusetts, one of Chavez's toadie apologists and useful idiots, Palin is saying it exactly like it is...

Back in 2006, some in Congress started taking notice and getting worried about the massive militarization of Venezuela and the non-stop courting of Chavez by terrorist leaders around the world. They consider him a great threat to our national security. Some in Congress, (but none with a "D" after their name) consider Chavez on par with Saddam Hussein, Kim John Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad especially when he hosted them and on top of his agenda was the topic of introducing nuclear elements into Venezuala.

Knock, knock, Starkers, it's true.....Chavez is a bum dictator..our enemies, his friends, are as you say, "already crawling out of the woodwork" and Obama has said he'd meet with dictators without "any  preconditions". On this, Obama is both naive and dangerous.

Sorry, Starkers....you've got this one 100% wrong....

Thank goodness, Palin knows a dictator-want-to-be when she sees one and is courageious enough to say it like it is...Thanks, this is one more reason to admire her!

Next time try facts instead of snarky remarks.

How do you prove yourself innocent? Nice try.

on Oct 27, 2008

And anyone who says "I don't care what foreigners think of us" is either very naive or stupid; been living under a rock or is arrogant enough to think the US doesn't need the friendship and respect of foreigners... or all of the above. The US is NOT an island and it is dependent on the rest of the world for trade, allies and other forms of support, because without it the US would suffer financially, through a lack of resources and co-operation. To say 'I don't care what they think' is like biting the hand that feeds you, so yeah, it is important what your worldly neighbours think, otherwise they might just happen to stop caring, trading, co-operating and being allies in times of need.

Or, a brash, Bush Neocon "You're with us or you're our enemey" ideologue.

Knowing something and shooting one's mouth off about it are two different things. Smart people know things and act accordingly. Making noise without any hope of advantage is stupid.

I'll be so glad when the election farce is over with and people can go back to talking about real life.

on Oct 27, 2008

Sorry, Starkers....you've got this one 100% wrong...

NO, you did!  Reread my post and you will see that my remark had nothing to do with Chavez being a dictator, terrorist or anything else.  It was about Sarah Palin putting her mouth in gear before engaging her brain.

Were Palin a World leader she may have a right/responsibilty to say something... but she's just a jumped up governor who's bitten off more than she can chew, so is bumping her gums on sensitive issues and saying shit she thinks people want to hear.

Obama has said he'd meet with dictators without "any preconditions". On this, Obama is both naive anddangerous.

Oh, so you'd rather he go in there with a heavy and uncompromising hand and all guns a blazing?   Open dialogue may be just the thing that's needed to save the lives of more young miltary men and women.

Thank goodness, Palin knows a dictator-want-to-be when she sees one and is courageious enough to say it like it is

And what makes you think a dictator is going to respect/fear Palin anyway??  More to the point, what makes you think Palin has the balls and experience to deal with Chavez.. or any other dictator, for that matter?   Moose shooting doesn't count... moose don't shoot back and/or plan strategic counter-offensives.

Finally....

First, is it true or not? Or do you just put anything up here on this board hoping it sticks?

I keep abreast/informed on World events, and the Palin/Chavez thing is something several news carriers thought newsworthy, so yes, it is true that Palin insulted Chavez and they had a run-in....

And as for putting stuff up and hoping it sticks, I have seen enough of Palin on TV to know that she is a blithering political idiot who come across as lacking communication skills without a teleprompter or cue cards.  Palin's rhetoric, speeches, diatribes without these aids is lacking coherent thought and are hardly convincing... and given that the McCain camp has accused her of grandstanding and not taking GOP directions, I'd say that makes her far more dangerous than Barack Obama, who comes across as considerably more thoughtful and would prefer not to engage in another war.

Yes, the US needs change and a breath of fresh air, but Palin is NOT it

Thank goodness, Palin knows a dictator-want-to-be when she sees one and is courageious enough to say it like it is...Thanks, this is one more reason to admire her!

Got it in a nutshell there, Doc..... Palin is far from being smart, and her past will catch up with her, if it already hasn't.  The Senate inquiry into her abuse of powers may only be the beginning of her fall....'er, crash with a large thud from grace.

And the faster that happens, and the more they get will prevent her from running in 2012.

Free speech is free speech , hatred or not.

If it's ok to do it to Obama , then the Soccer Mom VP candidate is fair game. She's not above playing it either

Were that it were okay to do to Obama. Not the KKK outfit thing, but most anything. If you mock Obama, you're one of those racist pigs who run around plotting assassinations.

It seems our 1st amendment right serves 2 purposes...Free speech and identifying ignorant morons!

Once again: "What goes around comes around" and again, spare me the phoney umbrage. Why not wait until Nov. 5th?

And that's worse than what the left has been doing to Bush for 8 years in what way?  And Palin hung in effigy is OK?  If you ask me, it's all fair game so maybe we actually agree.  Look forward to lots of hateful characterizations of our next president over the next term, whoever wins.  It's the American way.

What a sad commentary that it's come to this....
