keep your friends close but your enemies closer

I don't think its right for Obama and his leftwing buddies to liken Rush Limbaugh to the "20th hijacker," or hope for his kidneys to fail at a public event just because he disagrees with Obama's policies. I once simply disagreed with the Presidents policies, but I am now beginning to loath him in a much more personal way. All in all, this is the most appalling and despicable presidential appearance I have ever seen.

I don't see a problem with it. If the administration and the media are having a party it is more or less a left wing affair. I doubt few if anyone there was offended, as it was just another Obama love feast, of no significance.

Oh boo hoo, they made fun of him; I'm sure Rush has heard of humor and has a thicker skin than you apparently have.

Yea, I'm sure if someone had said Barak Hussein Obama sounds like the name of the 20th hijacker, no one on the left would have complained...

Since most attribute me with the left, I guess I'll reply. If they did that, then I'd give the same reply I gave above. People need to either grow a thicker skin or crawl back inside their dwelling. The world is tough, if you can't deal with this sort of stuff, then what's the point?

David Feherty is required to apologize & grovel but Wanda gets applause.  Mind you, neither should be required to apologize, if you ask me, but that's the way the PC Police (read: media) work these days.  It's socially acceptable to suggest conservatives should physically suffer or (better yet) die, but not to suggest that we'd be better off if liberals did the same.

So much for bipartisanship & the politics of reconciliation.

Which part of "wishing his kidneys fail" (fatal condition... in an extremely painful manner) is "made fun of"?

and as for waterboarding, our troops get waterboarded in "preparation" to what they can expect if cought.

Anyways, doesn't this administration have a job to do? or are things so laid back right now that the most important thing on the table is an amateur stand up comedy rutine insulting, ridiculuing, and wishing painful death on anyone who disagrees with them?

My point still stands - boohoo, he is a big boy and can get over it. He's had more than his share of it and I'm sure he can just brush it off, or blame it on whoever.

true, its no reason to whine if memebers of your government wish painful death on you, and he will get over it. It is however:

1. Not what you said

2. Somewhat concerning that the government televises speeches where they wish painful death on their constituents that disagree with them.

1. Don't be thick; I implied it.

2. So would you be in favor of censoring, eh? So Sykes made a comment that was, at  best, stupid. So what? We can't protect everyone from every little thing, such is life and such is the freedom of speech. If you have a problem with people saying what they want, and the government not doing something bout it, like censoring....go to Iran, or wherever. Dig it? This reminds me a line in a movie I have where one of the characters shouts, "Stop in the name of American squeemishness!" How true...

I say, get over it and move on

1. implied nothing... you said "made fun of" you attempted to belittle it and swipe it under the carpet.

2. freedom of speech is about protecting people from the government, not protecting the government from people being upset at them wishing death on their constituents.

Dude, seriously...

1. Wanda Sykes, a comedian, said it about Rush....Obama, he didn't say anything about Rush. So in that point, Obama has no fault for it save he could've disagreed faster. I don't believe he is in charge of arranging the entertainment, but whoever is, did not do their homework.

And I'm swiping it under the carpet because 1) I think its stupid, it's comedy. The same comedian will say a joke that is just as ludicrous later - and people like you will laugh at it. 2) Is it hurting anyone? No. 3. It's her right to say it, as with the freedom of speech. No one has the grounds to tell her she must stop such things.

2. Freedom of speech is more than just that.

In Germany, back in 1936, they used to make similar jokes about Jews. Like the 3rd Reich, the Obama administration are firm believers in Marxist philosophy. History, and current events, shows us that Marxism transforms it's nation from the post-Industrial class system , Upper, Middle, Lower, to a more traditional two class, despotic,  system, proletariat and bourgeoisie - or more correctly, a glutenous, sadistic, political class, and everyone else. That's equality. This is what Obama and his supporters have planned for America. Doesn't that just sound rosey?

I'm pretty sure when it last happened on JU the standard response was more or less 'Dry your eyes, Princess' so I don't really see what the difference is.

on May 12, 2009

the difference is that it was some random guy off the street and not the ruling administration.
